Craft

It's been awhile since I've crafted, although I spent the summer making baby shower gifts!  Our church had a friendly service auction night.  I made a blanket, glitter pumpkin, popcorn treats, and a throw pillow cover.  It was an exciting night surrounded by friends.  The kids even bided on items and won.  Richard and I won a dozen cupcakes from a bakery.  Also the items I made were fought over for high bids.  I feel like it might be time to do more crafting!!

Tooth

Cooper lost his first tooth last month.  I didn't want to forget to post about it even if I am a month late.  His tooth had been lose, I actually had forgotten about it.  This all happened while we were driving to our anniversary get way to Galveston.  Apparently after swimming Cooper was putting his shirt on and it just fell out.  My mom let Cooper call me and he was so excited.  Due to all the rush to get back to Midland the tooth fairy came a day later with three dollars.  Cooper was so very happy and wanted to go spend his money right away luckily we convinced him to save it.

Soccer games times three

Saturday was a full day of soccer to bad it was cold and rainy!  We survived though!  First up was Cooper who doesn't care for the cold and barely moved around the soccer field until the second half, ugh!  We lost our game pretty bad!!

Then we rushed to Allison's game were we continued our losing streak.  We got stomped!  I don't know if it was the weather or if our girls just weren't awake.  Allison did manage to score a goal on a penalty kick.  We had a short break and stopped for lunch at chickfila.  The last game of the day was no different from the first two, we lost.  Again Allison only scored one goal.

We ended our day taking the kids to see dolphin take two, all three kids were interested and watch 90% of the movie!

Star Student

I decide to surprise the kids for lunch one day last week.  I usually visit them once a week but with there lunch schedules not coinciding I haven't figured out the best way.  Anyway I was checking in the office and started walking down the hallway.  I noticed a wall of recognition for each grade level.  I saw Allison's teachers name and then I noticed Allison name.  She was recognized with a sweet little paragraph describing her attributes written by her teacher.  I am proud of Allison's big heart and her desire to choose the right.

My days with Beckett

With school back in session Beckett and I are back together by ourselves during the day.  We have our weekly errands and play dates but mostly he is my little shadow throughout the day.  With my children being 3 plus years apart in age gaps it's allowed me to have a lot of one on one time with each one.  Special mommy time without other siblings. I've spoiled each of them a little with special treats, outings, lunches, or park dates etc.  Beckett and I enjoy our 3 mile walk every morning.  It's pretty quiet and surprisingly clean.  He plays with his toys wherever I am.  It's usually cars he plays with he is obsessed, there is no such thing as to many toys in his mind.  I have toys in my purse, in the car, in my pocket, and in his bed!  Beckett always ask me to "play cars mama".  Or several times during the day he will ask "go to park please".  We jump on the trampoline sometimes and look for clouds, trees, or find birds.  But our favorite game is hide and seek, the squeals and high pitch laughs cause contagious smiles.  His new favorite thing to say to me, his daddy, and especially his siblings is NOPE!  It's a long drawn out word with an emphasis on the P.  I love this little guy so much and every day I admire at how much he has grown.

Scrimmage

Yesterday Richard set up a scrimmage for the girls to get there feet wet after a long summer break from soccer.  It was cooling down from a hot day.  The best part was we choose a field that was right next to a park so both the boys were totally occupied while I watched Alli.  It was probably the most I've seen her play in a few season.  To bad I had to leave early because Cooper had soccer practice.  We barely lost 3-2 which is a huge improvement from playing them last year and losing to ZERO!  My Alli-cat rocked it an scored two goals! I think we are ready for our first game and double header Saturday!

Soccer

Another school year means another soccer season in our household!  Richard is of course coaching again.  Even though he has another full load of classes at the college, we always seem to make it work!  It's been interesting to see Allison play on a less talented team, she has to work harder to motivate her team mates.  She can out skill them in every way, she really has natural talent.  I've taken a less stressful stance on the whole thing.  I am really just there to enjoy watching my daughter play, as long as she tries her best and never gives up I will be happy with whatever outcome of the team.  She really is a phenomenal player, with so much talent and she loves the sport!

Cooper is not really into sports.  But it's great physical activity and soccer is what we know.  So we signed him up with the same team hoping he finally falls into place.  He is a year away from being able to play tackle football, so we might try that later.  He does have interest in hockey, but can't skate.  He also has the most beautiful voice I've wondered about having him do voice lessons and play an instrument but he has no drive.  I just firmly believe he should pursue some extracurricular activity to keep active physically or mentally active.  We will see what becomes of his interest.  Cooper's first game was on Saturday.  It was a rainy day, it was a steady sprinkle.  We have a lot of new players.  We are also playing on a bigger field.  We lost the game but the boys tried hard and never gave up!

Season..

Life can get so busy.  I personally struggle with finding balance. And not taking so much on that the joy of life gets sucked out.  I think it will be a constant struggle, there are so many seasons of life and things are always changing.  I've said this before it's a busy time in my life my kids are growing and life is keeping us super busy.  This three day weekend definitely helped recharge my batteries. A little one on one time with my husband and time spent with our children.  Friday Richard and I had lunch with the kids at school, and I had a PTA meeting.  Allison had a birthday party Saturday and we spent some family time going out to lunch and renting movies.  The kids both had play dates on Monday. We even had my mother/father in law over for dinner Sunday night, we need to do that more often.  It's so important to reflect and enjoy.  I even started reading again, my news resolution was to fit in some me time each month, I've been slacking..  It's a new month, and another season around the corner.
