6 months old

I love Camden's chunky cheeks and I can't kiss them enough!  He is just so happy and calm and I enjoy him so much.  I feel so blessed to have Camden in our lives.  I know people think I am crazy having 4 kids.  Then I think what my life would be like with out Beckett or Camden and I don't want that life!!!!!  They bring me so much joy and purpose.  Life might be a little hectic but gosh it's so dang worth it.  I have big plans for these little people.  I've never been one to half way do anything!  Whither it's a job, doing laundry, or raising my family I will give 110% of myself.

"My child is my everything, so I will give anything, and stop at nothing."

Anyway here's a few things for my records of what Camden has been doing.

* Camden starting talking.  He was pretty quiet barely making breathing sounds.  Now he makes all kinds of sounds, his favorite is something similar to dada.

*Camden is so aware, he knows who I am and wants my attention.  He still smiles and likes everyone.  But I think he recognizes me.

*I think I mentioned he has two bottom teeth now.  That happens before Xmas.

*Camden is now grabbing things to go in his mouth.  His tie, the straps in his car seat, and whatever else that's close.  Oh and the cat he like to try to grab the cat.  The cat puts up with it for a little bit and the runs off.

*My in laws bought a walker for Christmas for Cam.  I figured he wouldn't be ready to actually walk in it yet.  He mainly sits and plays with the toys on it.  But he has figured out it moves and takes one or two steps in it or rocks it to move it.

*We had a few problems with sleeping when Camden was sick for so long.  He was waking up a lot at night.  Well we finally got it under control again and he's back to waking up only once.

* The biggest change this month is that Camden is eating baby food.  I forgot how messy and time consuming it is.  Although I love his little face looking at me strange.  And watching him try to grab the spoon.

*Beckett loves Camden!  He tells him good morning every day.  Grabs his little checks and baby talks to him.  I get scolded a lot by Beckett.  I was trying to get Camden's attention while feeding him and I was making loud funny sounds at him.  Beckett told me to speak softly to his brother.  Or when I opened the baby food and it spluttered out on me, I wiped it off with my finger and B told me not to eat his brothers food.

Hailey's Birthday

My sweet niece Haley had her birthday party this past weekend.  We drove to Tahoka to celebrate.  Richard had to work so I went alone with all the kids.  We stayed several hours.  It was so wonderful to be able to celebrate with family.  There was a ton of food and a delicious brownie cake.  I rarely saw the kids, they had so much fun all together.  It was so nice to catch up with my sister.

Suvivor's Award

At the end of every six weeks the kids school has a awards program.  They do each grade individually.  They give awards for A honor role, A/B honor role, perfect attendance, and the Survivors Award.  The survivors award is for outstanding attitude and work ethic.  Only 6 kids are chosen in every grade level.  I don't normally go because it's a complicated to get both the little boys out.  And the kids have never asked me to go.  This time I got a note from both there teachers that I should go.  Allison usually makes A honor role but she had one B this time.  Both Allison and Cooper were both awarded the Survivors Award.  I was so proud of them.  With Allison's Dyslexia and Cooper's ADHD/working memory issues school is a constant struggle.  We try to keep positive attitudes and strong work ethics.  We work hard!!  Homework is a constant in my house.  We spend a lot of extra hours studying.  It doesn't come natural therefore we have to put in extra effort.  I stress over it and I change up my strategies often.  Allison is dedicated and unwavering when it comes to her education.  She is so determined it's unreal.  She will practice and practice.  I truly believe it's her personality.  I am thankful for this special trait she posses, it honestly makes things a little easier because she cares so much.  Now my Cooper he is so laid back and it does him a disservice.  Nothing motivates him and it concerns me!  I have to work really hard to get his attention and get him to focus.  Some times it's impossible!  I've really had to train him and teach a schedule to Cooper in order to gain his attention.  Teaching him is not easy.  I worry a lot over him.  But the one thing Cooper cares about is, me.  He doesn't like to see me frustrated or sad.  And that motivates him.  Just to be average is a struggle for him.  For both of my kids to receive this award made me so proud.  I hope this shows them that people are smart in different ways and that hard work can bring success.  For dinner that night we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate.

Scrimmage

Allison had a scrimmage with her soccer team last week.  It was late at night and very cold and foggy.  We got my in-laws to babysit the little boys.  Cooper insisted on coming, there are a lot of siblings on the team his age.  I bundled us up with layers of jackets, gloves, and blankets!  The girls haven't practiced in quite a while and we're a little rusty.  Although I think they enjoyed playing again.  The fog rolled in about half way through the game it was kind of eerie.  We tied 1 to 1-1.

Sunbeam

In our church children go to nursery from the age 18 months old until they reach the age of three by January 1st.  Since Beckett wasn't 3 until July last year he stayed in nursery until December.  The first Sunday in January he now goes to our children's Sunday school which we call primary.  The youngest class is called sunbeams.  In nursery they play with a room full of toys, have snacks, and a short lesson.  In Primary they go to an hour lesson and a group music/combined lesson. I was worried about Beckett going because most kids love playing in nursery with all the toys and a snack! When I took him to his new teacher his eyes were watery and he said he wanted to go home.  I told him I would see him later and that he would have fun.  He says okay and when I picked him up he was happy!  Can't believe his nursery days are over!

Christmas break and new years

We certainly kept our selves busy this break.  Richard's Aunt invited us to a surprise 15th birthday party for her granddaughter the day after Christmas.  After Richard had been off 8 days he went back to work.  While the kids were out of school the had fun playing with there Christmas gifts.  We also went to the movies with friends, had friends over/went to friends house, played in the snow, and went skating.  We had friends over for New Year's Eve.  We had a tons of food and played Pictionary and charades.  We stayed up tell 2am watching movies.  It was a great break from school and I am anxious to see what 2016 has in store for the Sanchez Crew!

Christmas Day 2015

*If Richard ever works Christmas again I will never wake up at 5am.  We will definitely alter our morning ritual.

*Apparently I would make an awful single mom.  I can't put together toys or devices.

*I love Christmas food, I ate way to much this Holiday.  Now to lose the last few pounds of baby weight I haven't managed to get off.

*I actually feel like we got a home run in the gift buying department.  For once I feel like we evenly bought gifts and everyone loved what they got.  As the kids have gotten older it's gotten harder to buy.

*I don't want to miss another Christmas without seeing my mom.

*Camden slept the day away.  Next year should be more entertaining for him.  PS I love dressing him up for all these holidays.  I will miss having a baby to dress up..

*Allison is growing up to fast!  She got no toys this year.  A head set, a kid Fitbit, clothes, nail polish set, gift cards.  Allison got a selfie stick and she has been having a great time taking pictures.  Where did the years go, some of my favorite memories are of her opening doll house and dress up clothes etc.

*Thankfully I still have a few littles in the house.  Beckett was so into Christmas.  He was all about the lights and Santa.  He asked Santa for toys, big toys!  Beckett was so anxious to open toys.  He would tell me everyday it's almost here Christmas, then we open toys.  It was also a great opportunity for me to plug in the real meaning of Christmas.  Also when was time to open gifts he just started opening random gifts.  We kept telling him to look for his name!

*So thankful for Richard.  Planning and preparing for Christmas with my husband is fun to me.  Our kids are so blessed to have both parents.  The dishwasher was our gift to earth h other this year.  Although I did snag a huge bag of m&m's for Richard there his favorite.

*Because Richard missed out on lunch with his family due to working.  We invited Richards parents to dinner.  It was nice to see them and spend time with them.  It's unreal how blessed I am to have married into such an awesome family.

*I can't leave out how Cooper got a BB gun from Santa.  That's all he has been talking about for months.  And every chance I got we discussed gun safety.  I heard the lil stinker get up at 3am and say "thank you Santa"!

Christmas Eve

The day flew bye!  I had more wrapping to finish and a house to clean for company.  We made cookies for Santa after lunch.  Cooper was uninterested but stuck around long enough to make one cookie.  Beckett had a blast and went to town on sprinkles.  I locked myself in my room and finally watched White Christmas and wrapped a few last minute gifts.  Richard took the kids to pick up Cooper's medicine and a chickfila platter.  I cleaned the entire house and cooked.  Soon it was time for our annual Christmas Eve festivities with Richards family.  We've hosted the last few years.  I never manage to take pictures during any of this.  My niece took a few.  But I wish I could show how much food and presents there are.  One thing I won't forget, was the awesome Sanchez plaque my nephew in-law made for my father/mother in- law.  I don't even have a picture of it.  It's a wooden sign the says Sanchez and established in 1964.  It started quick and end fast.  The house was a disaster but our hearts were full.

Christmas month

Xmas month

* Our church does a weekend of Nativities on display.  It definitely puts me in Christmas spirit.  Such beautiful pictures, figures, and music.

* We hung Xmas lights as a family.  Allison fell off her bike and scrapped her knee pretty bad.

*Both Cooper and Beckett asked for there own Elf's.  Allison has had her elf
for four years.  Her elf brought two new elf's to our house.  A boy and girl.

* Richard had his work Christmas party early in the month.  Its was catered in Odessa with good food and dessert.  It was fun getting to know Richard's coworkers better.

* We had a game night with the A family.  We played the headbands game and parent verse kids.  It was fun playing games, and eating snacks.

* I worked on Christmas craft gifts most of the month.  I made gifts for all my inlaws.

* I was one of the people in the group in charge of our church Xmas party.  We had a pasta night with a visit from Santa and tons of cookies!

* We had our church ladies Xmas party at my friends house.  We had a hot coco bar and gift exchange.  It was so much fun and we stayed out way to late.

* Beckett had his preschool Xmas party.  Lots of goodies to eat, stocking gifts to exchange, and cute games to play.

* I was in charge of Allison's school Xmas party.  I brought pizza for the class and we did Christmas themed minute to win it games.  The party was a huge success!

* Sister Xmas was so much fun!

* We went to look at Christmas lights while my nephew was in town with us.  Last year we did a light scavenger hunt it was so fun we did it again.  This year it was so warm I thought it would be fun to get ice cream before we looked at lights.

* We baked a bunch of Christmas cookies together a few times.

* On Christmas day we had carolers stop by our house it was such a great end to a wonderful day.
