Amarillo

Allison had two games in Amarillo last weekend.  We decided to stay the night.  We loaded up the car and stopped in Lubbock for lunch on our way to Amarillo.  Richards parents came to.  We enjoyed hanging out with the them and we appreciated there extra hands to help hold Camden.  We even meet up with our niece in Lubbock for dinner during our travels!  The boys most enjoyed swimming at the hotel and playing at this epic park by the fields.  Allison loved roaming the hotel with her girlfriends!  She is getting so big and more independent.  The weather was enjoyable and Camden was a little angel!  We lost the first game 2-1 and won the last game 3-1!  Allison scored the first goal of the games.  It's such a huge difference playing soccer with more experienced players.  This was technically our first game playing together as a whole team.  I think we did awesome and I am excited to get to know the team better.  Soccer season has officially begun!

2 months

Camden turned 2 months old this past Thursday!  He is such a awesome baby.  Camden sleeps a majority of the day and maybe wakes up twice a night.  There have been a few nights he only woke up once.  He is a awesome eater too.  When Camden is awake he is wide awake!  He loves to be talked to and holds his head up so well.  I love hearing the lil sounds he makes, he sure can squeak.  I just love holding him, everything thing around my world just slows down.  My life is running a million miles a minute but this little guy reminds to stop and smell the roses.  I wish I could keep him this little I sure do enjoy the newborn stage.  We had his two month check up on Friday.  He is barely in the 30th percentile of weight, height, and head.  He weighs barely 9 pounds!  A far cry from Beckett's hugeness in the 90th percentiles.  But it's right along the growth of my older two kids.  I think Beckett takes after my grandfather and his 6'4 frame.  All except one of my male cousins are well over 6 feet tall.  I love studying my lil Camden.  Looking at his features and wondering what life will bring him, and what his personality will be.  People often comment on how full my hands must be and I usually just say not as full as my heart!

Glasses

Allison had complained to me during the summer she had a hard time seeing when she would read.  She has been a bit frantic this summer but I decided to set up an eye appointment for Allison and Cooper.  Let's just say it was the longest 3 hours of my life!  With a long wait, trying to get Cooper to follow instructions, and to the over dilated eyes.  I was so glad to be done with the eye doctor.  Unfortunately the doctor said he was concerned that Allison was more farsighted than he would like and wanted to prescribe her reading glasses.  I was worried Allison wouldn't be thrilled with the idea, but several of her friends recently got glasses.  Her glasses came in this past week and she treats as an accessory.  Hopefully we have good luck with keeping up with them and not breaking them.

Labor Day

With the first week of school over and a three day weekend ahead, I set out to make the weekend fun for the kids even if Richard had to work. Cooper's friend invited him to a play date Friday after noon after school.  His friend is our neighbor and had recently bought walkie-talkies, let's just say that's been an interesting experience listening to them chat through out the day.  Anyway Saturday I took the kids to the pool with their friends, the pool closed that weekend.  Then on Monday I took the kids out with their friends again to play at the park and eat pizza!  It wasn't easy loading everyone up and traveling with 6 kids but it was worth it.  My kids are so lucky to have such great friends!!!!

The Airsho

The weekend of Camden's baby blessing the Air Show was taking place in Midland.  The commemorative Air Force's Airsho is held annually at Midland International Air and Space port in Midland.  Richard had to work for a few hours but got off at noon.  My nephew who is a aviation mechanic was able to take the two big kids to the Air Show before Richard got off and swung by to pick up Beckett. They spent several hours there with perfect overcast weather!  The show consist of different air crafts flying over and up close viewing.  Some of the different air crafts were WW2 Bombers, WW2 Fighters, and WW2 transporters.  Cooper got bored quick but Beckett was in heaven.  Allison is always up for some history lessons.  We have never taken the kids because the Air Show usually falls in the middle of soccer season and the Saint Ann's fair.  I am glad they were able to experience it.

Drake

My nephew Drake plays football for the JV team in Denver City.  His team was in Midland playing one of the private schools.  Midland Christian Private school is down the block from our house!  The kids were stocked about seeing there cousin.  It was decent weather plus we sat in the shade.  I love watching football so I enjoyed myself.  The kids got a little bored, they were just so excited about seeing drake after the game.  Cooper chatted up few girls around him to pass the time!  He is such a ladies man, and is not shy!  Once I was at the store and Cooper handed me a bag of chocolate kisses and said "I love you so much here's a kiss from me!"  This middle aged man whispered to me that Cooper had some serious game lol!  Anyway we got to visit with Drake after the game for a lil while!  It was so nice to see him it's been I think since Christmas.

Beckett goes to preschool

Beckett Paul had his first day of 3 yr old preschool this past Monday.  We were worried it wouldn't happen.  They were having difficulties securing a teacher and Beckett was not officially potty trained.  But it all fell into place.  He goes from 9-12 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  The first day of school he seemed very nonchalant about it.  Not excited or upset.  He left happily and was excited to see me when I picked him up.  Richard and I took him to lunch and then fell asleep for a few hours on the couch.  Wednesday was a little different he repeatedly told me he didn't like school and wanted to stay home with me.  It was a tough drop off but minutes later I got a text and picture from the director that he was happy and playing.  He was happy as normal when I picked him up.  Friday was show and tell and Beckett was anxious to go.  I didn't even get a hug good bye just a wave.  I've never sent any of my kids to school before 4, but Beckett seemed like he need the social and mental development.  I keep telling myself it's only 3 days a week for 3 hours.

Camden's baby blessing

Our sweet baby boy was blessed by his father on August 30th.  My mom and sister drove into Midland and Richards side of the family were all there.  Plus our good friends the Russell family.  Another friend was in town from Hobbs. It was such a special day.  After the blessing we hosted a huge dinner for everyone.  It was such a joyous occasion.  I have so much to look forward to in our little Camden's life.  I hope and pray for so much for him and I am so thankful to all those that showed to support Camden.  The pictures downloaded out of order.
