Marcus is here!

Yesterday my sister and her boyfriend Michael had there son Marcus!  She went into Labor Tuesday night, right before she was suppose to go in for an induction.  Three weeks early by the way.  I guess it was meant to be!  He was born around 11:30 Wednesday morning.  Weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.  He seems to be healthy, happy, and with dark hair.  My sister is not recovering from her platelet problems yet, and is staying another day in the hospital.  Prayers are need for her platelet levels to rise and for her blood pressure to regulate also.  Anyway I am a proud Aunt, and cant wait to go see my new nephew!

More soccer!

Cooper had a game last Tuesday and last night.  Cooper has started paying attention to the fact that Allison gets 5 dollars for every goal she makes.  I told him if he made a goal I would buy him a toy, well that was a game changer for Cooper.  He totally changed his attitude towards the game.  Even his coach and the parents were telling us how good Cooper was playing.  I knew he had it in him, but he wouldn't focus during the game!  Cooper nearly made a goal but it hit the post!  Then he had a corner kick on the other teams side, and the lil stinker didn't realize it was the wrong goal but he kicked it in the other teams goal! Yesterday Cooper continued playing better and at the last half he kicked all the way from the half, it was going slowly in the goal but his team mate kicked it the rest of the way in!  But we still counted it as a goal!  Proud my lil guy is playing better!!

Braces

Yesterday morning I had my top braces put on, in two months they will put my bottom braces on.  I was so worried about it and didn't know what to expect.  But it honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  They put a device in my mouth to keep it open.  From start to finish it only took an hour.  They first placed each bracket on each tooth.  Then the wire goes through the brackets.  After the wires they then places the individual rubber bands on each bracket, this is where the tightening takes place.  I picked the purple rubber bands that go around my brackets.  I think the transition to braces will be easy.  I don't like hard candy, popcorn, or soda drinks.  But not eating ice is tough!  I couldn't eat solids for three hours, so later in the day Richard took me and the kids out to dinner.  It was interesting eat with braces.  I notice that oral care will be more of my issue with braces.  Flossing with braces is very different!   Anyway only 18 more months!!!

Super hero's, egg relay's, and pizza parties

We had another full weekend!  When our my days not full???  Richard unforately had to work Saturday and Sunday of his four days off.  But Friday we got to spend some time with him.  We made a quick trip into Midland.  Haircuts for the boys was first on the agenda.  Then we had to return the DVD system for the car that we bought because it wasn't working correctly.  We got a new DVD set that included a game system the kids love it!  We also ordered lunch and ate with my in laws at there house.  It was nice to sit and chat.  Of course Beckett enjoyed crawling around grandma's and granddad's house.  Then we were back on the road to pick up Allison from school.  Richard and Allison had soccer practice while the boys and I went to our friend Deagan's super hero party.  Deagan is one of Cooper's  best buds and I have watched Deagan several times since we've moved here.  My friend Jessica did an amazing job on her party theme, especially with just having a 6 week old baby girl.  After the party Richard and I meet at the house and headed out to our church ward social at the park.  It was a little windy when we got there, but that didn't stop me from eating some hamburgers, hot dogs, and chocolate cake!  The kids had a blast playing with there friends and participating in some of the egg activities.  Richard and I chatted with so many of our friends that night, the whole family had a blast!

Saturday we had two birthday parties back to back at different pizza places!  Allison was up first with her friend Madison and then one of Cooper's friends from soccer had his party at Pizza Inn.  I was exhausted when we finally made it back home!

Sunday was a full day of church.  Later the kids had fun bringing all there stuffed animals into the living room and setting up a mini veterinarians office.  Beckett even joined in, he wore the stethoscope.

Poor Richard got called out to work because of the wind storm and then Sunday he worked a 15 hour day!

Sunshine, soccer, and birthdays!!

This post is over a week late, its from last weekend.  I was trying to catch up on our California adventures.

Unfortunately Richard had to work this past weekend.  Allison had a soccer game in the morning.  The assistant coach had to coach the game.  Richard was texting me like crazy!  Allison made two goals, we won 2-6.

After the game we drove straight to Midland for my niece's surprise birthday party.  We made it just in time to be there for the big surprise.  My niece is almost 37 weeks pregnant and we did want to scare her to bad lol.  The kids had fun yelling surprise and blowing there noise makers.  Her sweet husband set up everything, the house was decorated and we had the most delicious cake.  I am glad we were able to be there and celebrate her!  I also got to see her super cute nursery.  Beckett even enjoyed crawling around her house.

Next we went to my nephew's birthday party at the park.  He had a kite party and it was the perfect weather to fly a kite.  It had been since my sister's baby shower since we had gotten all together.  My mom was even there!  Just seeing everyone and hanging out was sooooo fun.  I cant believe my nephew is 6!!  I forgot to mention what a warm day it was, 90 degrees!  We all packed in under the shade of a tree and ate pizza, opened presents, and ate cake.  So after the party thanks to Allison's idea we all went to Bahama Bucks.  My sister Heather will be 37 weeks this week.  She has had a few scares with her platelet levels being to low, the Dr almost delivered her last week.  I had a blast with my sisters (minus Jamie) and nieces/nephews, I love them so much.  After our fun day we had to drive back home. My heart was full.

Home sweet home

I didn't actually take any pictures of the three times I saw my cousin Carlo while we were in LA.  We got together the first night we spent in LA.  Then after our day in Disney Land we went with Carlo and enjoyed deserts all together. Also on Wednesday morning we had breakfast with Carlo before we made the long drive back home.  I really enjoyed chatting with my cousin and spending some time with him.  Until our next adventure Carlo!  Also while we were in LA Allison of course got her wish and we let her swim everyday we were there.  Mr Beckett Paul also got to swim for the first time.  Well technically it was in a hot tub, which was more like a lukewarm bath.  On the long drive back home we split it in to two days, 8 hours one day and 7 hours the next day.  After we checked out of the Holiday inn express in Lordsburg NM I noticed several house later we forgot Cooper's shoes.  So as we pulled into El Paso for lunch we stopped by the new outlet malls, and did a lil shoe shopping.  My sweet hubby spoiled me and bought me these sandals that Ive been wanting for over a year!  We pulled into Hobbs at 5pm and went straight to pick up Richard's car from the shop and then to soccer practice.  Our life is always busy, but I wouldn't want it any other way!!

Disney Land~ Day 2

Day two was amazing! We spent the whole day in California Adventures.  My favorite part of CA was Cars Land, it was so assume!  A complete replica of the movie, the kids had a blast we spent a ton of time there.  Another fun part of our day was visiting many Disney characters.  Ive been to D Land more times than I can count, but I have never seen one of the shows at either parks.  We were able to finally watch Aladdin, and let me tell you I was not disappointed!  I laughed so hard at all of Genie's jokes, the jokes were so modern.  The kids and Richard rode more rides together through out the day, but Beckett was only able to ride one ride Toy Story Mania.  I only rode four rides that day and they were rides I have never ridden Radiator Springs Racers, Luigi's Flying Tires, and the Grizzly River.  I got soaked and so did the kids on the Grizzly River.  But my favorite ride of the day was the Radiator Springs Racers.  The kids and I waited in line for an hour, but it was worth it!  Also my favorite part of D Land and CA is the churos, I am a sucker for those.  I also forgot to mention that Allison started to collect the stamped pennies at each station that we passed.  She had bought one in D Land and then got totally into it in CA.  In all she collected 14 pennies in her D Land collectors book.

Favorite rides in California Adventures:

Richard~ Tower of Terror
Allison~ Radiator Springs Racers
Cooper~ Tower of Terror
Beckett~ Toy Story Mania
Stacey~ Radiator Springs Racers

Disney Land~ Day 1

Monday was our first day in D Land!  We woke up early ate breakfast and took the bus to the park.  We got there at 9am and left at 10pm.  We tried to plan our two days at the park, one day at Disney Land and one day in California Adventures.  We managed to stick to that schedule.  Thanks to the aps Richard put on my phone the Disney Land maps, and D Land wait times we were able to plan our day.  We told the kids to pick there top three rides and luckily we rode all of them.  I want to say we hit 90 percent of the rides in D Land.  Thanks to the app we would stay clear of the busy rides and head over to the ones on our list that were less busy.  We also allowed the kids to pick two things at D Land, Allison picked a baby Minny mouse wrapped in a swaddle blanket and a Minny mouse in pj's.  Cooper picked a light saber (that he put together himself) and a gun from frontier land.  I picked Beckett out a rattle mickey mouse.  Richard mainly road rides with the big kids and I would stay back with Beckett while he sleep most of the day and I would visit the hundreds of shops around the park.  For the first time ever I bought our entire family of five Disney Land t-shirts!  One of the times Beckett was awake I let him out and he crawled around Goofy's playhouse and loved it!  Although there were a few rides Beckett could go on like pirates of the Caribbean, haunted mansion, snow white, peter pan, Mr toad, and buzz lightyear.  It was truly a magical day of fun and memories made with my family.

I asked each person what there favorite ride was:

Allison~ Indiana Jones

Cooper~ Gadgets' Go Coaster

Richard~ Splash mountain

Beckett~ Goffy's Playhouse

Stacey~ Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Saying good bye

Sunday morning we woke up early and went to church.  I have been attending this ward in Rohnert Park since I was 10.  So its like visiting family when I go.  Some people have moved but a lot of people are still there.  After church we packed, loaded the car, and then had lunch.  I don't like saying goodbye.  Sometimes in my mind my trips to Rohnert Park are bittersweet because I don't exactly know when I am coming back.  And now that my family is scattered I feel like we will be using are vacations to go visit them.  Its not like I am really saying goodbye to my Aunt but I loving spending time with her and being around her, it seems so right.  Like I am were I am suppose to be.

We were now on the road to the second part of our vacation Disney Land!!!!

Bodega Bay Beach

Because of my Uncle's surgery we had to make other plans for Saturday instead of visiting his ranch.  Cooper had been begging me to go to the beach but I was afraid it would be to cold since March isn't really beach season.  But my Aunt was totally on board and we dressed warmed, brought extra blankets, and jackets. We first had lunch on Lucas Wharf on the pier.  I had the most delicious crab sandwich and everyone else enjoyed fish and chips!  With full belly's we headed down to the beach.  I have been to the beach many many times but I cant remember a day as beautiful as this one.  Richard and I were joking about how some people were in bikini's and shirtless.  It wasn't that hot!  The big kids and I walked the beach collecting sea shells for a project I have in mind.  Then Richard took them to explore.  Beckett was so interested in the sand.  I was afraid he would eat it which was a classic thing Cooper did, but no he just played with it and touched it.  A little later Richard came back and laid with a sleeping Beckett as the big kids made a city in the sand.  The view was just beautiful and the slight breeze was so enjoyable.  I believe we stayed at the beach for a few hours.  Such wonderful memories were made!
