Zoo etc..

We also went to the Zoo while we were in Fort Worth.  I've been to a few zoo's in my life and this zoo is up there in comparison!  The kids love maps and figuring there way through the zoo.  Each kid gets to pick the animal they most want to see and then we just make are way around.  We also collect the penny imprints and had fun searching for those too!  It was a beautiful day and we all had so much fun.

We checked out of the lodge and spent one more day and night at my moms.  It is never enough time with my mom!  But I enjoyed every minute with her. We gave Camden baths together and stayed up late chatting. I love her so much and value are relationship!  Back to reality!!

Great wolf lodge

We woke up early and packed before my mom and I left to get pedicures and shop.  Richard stayed with the kids and they packed the car.  I enjoyed some alone time with my mom it was so enjoyable!  Special memories made.  There was no one in the nail salon it was so relaxing!  We also went to hobby lobby and my mom helped me find a new picture to go into one of my frames.  Time flew by and we said goodbye to grandma and papa and made our way to grapevine.  We at lunch and then checked in at Great Wolf Lodge!  It was at full capacity because of spring break.  But there was plenty to do and we kept our selves busy.  I could do a whole post on the lodge but I'll keep it simple.  We swam, ate, played in the arcade, did laser tag, watched 4d shows, completed a few magic quest, and made some forever memories!  I'll never forget wearing Camden and walking up and down 8 flights of stairs while Allison did her magic quest!  Richard was such a trooper as we switched kids over and over in between two days!  Camden was a lil angle sleeping and eating where ever we were.  We will be coming back!

Fort Worth

My mom gave us a gift card to great wolf lodge for Christmas and we figured we would use it during spring break.  We also wanted to spend time with my mom so Richard took off a few days early.  We left to Fort Worth Wed after lunch.  We had plans to meet up with my friend that moved to Oklahoma but her daughter ended up with a fever.  So my mom stayed with Camden and we went to see Zooptopia.  The theater was large and served meals so we at lunch and watched our movie.  I also got to go to a Kendra Scott jewelry store and make my own necklace!  Later my mom and I went to the store, made dinner, and went for a walk.  It was a perfect day!

Spring break

Spring break came early this year, most everyone has spring break this week.  I love planning trips during spring break.  Growing up we never did anything fun so I try to always plan something.  Richard had off at the end of the week so we managed to keep our selves busy until we planned to leave town Wednesday.  I did have to get some shopping done for the trip with all 4 kids but it got us out of the house.  Allison had her best friend over both girls injured there right arms Allison with her broken pinky and S with a broken arm.  The girls kept busy they had fun making cupcakes, pizza, flubber, and putting makeup on Beckett.  The first few days of spring break went by fast.  It also took me awhile to pack our family of 6, but we all were ready to get out of town!

8 months

Camden turned 8 months while we were in Fort Worth during spring break.  Why is time flying by so fast!  My little guy is officially crawling everywhere.  And not just to things he wants but to where ever I am.  He is eating mainly baby food with two to three bottles a day and one at night.  Cam takes three naps a day which is wonderful because it allows me to get things done.  Camden is still a super calm baby and will sit down for an hour with just a toy in front of him.  I swear I heard him say mama the other day but no repeat of the word yet.  Cam has become fond of daddy lately, and actually reaches for people.  Camden has starting waving and it sounds like he says hi.  He makes us all smile at any of his accomplishments.  Its such a special thing to have a baby in the house, it brings a special spirit into our home.  There is just something so gentle and understanding about a baby and its needs.  I think people lose patience for toddlers and forget there learning and growing and have bad days just like adults.  I am reminded often through Camden of different stages my other children have gone through.  I can be having a rough day and Camden will look at me with his chubby lil face and lay on my chest and everything disappears.  I truly love him and feel truly lucky to be his mommy!  Happy 8 months to my sweet baby.

Preschool end of the year program

Beckett had his school program a couple of weeks ago.  The program consisted of both the 3 and 4 year old classes.  The program started with a slide show of photos of all the kids through out the year during normal activities and class parties.  Then kids sang songs of all the things they have learned through the year.  I wasn't sure what to expect from Beckett.  He can be so shy around adults.  But to my surprise he was very comfortable and actually was a lot more animated then I expected.  He must have waved to me a million times it was so cute.  Afterwards there were refreshments and a display of all the kids art work.  I think the kids enjoyed watching Beckett as much as I enjoyed it.

Soccer

Allison had her first soccer game of the new season this a couple of weekends ago.  She had two games against both the Amarillo teams.  The first game we won 3 to 0, Allison assisted two goals and scored one goal.  The second game was tougher we tied 0 to 0.  Alison's heel had not been bothering her during the winter break.  Although she's recently hit a growth spurt and now her heel is bothering her again.  Last week she broke her heel cup and we had to replace it.  We continue with her medication, resting, icing, and stretching.  Allison mainly just plays through the pain.  We won't have another game until April and possibly two tournaments.

Recent activites

Its been a while since I've caught up the blog on daily happenings in our life.  I am trying so hard to keep up with my blog for the kids records.  I might stop blogging and start using Instagram instead.

*Allison has been doing after school tutoring for the STAR test, so the boys and I stay at the school playground for an hour.  Cooper has a best friend who's mom teaches at the school and they play together.

*A friend of mine invited me to the Pottery's Diva night I paint a chevron print vase.  I apparently didn't paint enough coats on it, but it was still a very fun evening.  I would love to go again.

*Two weekends ago I went to a girls lunch at olive garden and then we went antique shopping.

*I was called back to our churches children's program as the secretary.  Back to planning events, books keeping, and so so much more.

*Beautiful sunny weather has us spending more time outside.  We've been to the park, washed our cars, and worked on the yard.

*We recently hosted a double bbq and game night with two different friends.  Its so nice to get to know people and their kids.  I've always loved hosting activities, and due to my pregnancy last year and then life with a newborn things kept me busy to host.  I am really enjoying making better friends with the people in our life.

*Both the kids have gotten into skateboarding and we've been spending a lot of time at the skate park.

*Allison has bi-weekly doctor visits for her pinky, x-rays every time.  Her pinky has been slowly healing.  After 6 week she is finally on restrictive wear.  Which means she only has to wear it during activity like PE and soccer.

*Allison's heel cup broke so we had to go back in for a an appointment to re size her and order a new one and then another appointment to pick it up and make sure it fits.

*Cooper is having some teeth work done, he grinds his teeth so bad!
