Star Wars

Richard has not stopped about the new Star Wars movie.  For his birthday he got the six dvd blue ray set of the Star Wars movies.  The week leading up to the release we watched the movies.  One of Richards friends is a huge Star Wars fan too and he and his daughter tagged along with us for the movie.  My nephew was with us for a few days so he came with us too.  I loaded us all with candy, drinks, and popcorn.  I was the popcorn/drink filler and bathroom taker.  I lost track of how many times I got up.  We all enjoyed the movie and the kids are now big fans of Star Wars too.  They all got lightsabers and action figures from Star Wars.  It will be a memory I'll always remember.

Nephew visit

My sister that lives in San Angelo often brings her son to Midland to see his grandparents.  While he visits them he usually comes to hang out with us for a few days.  Cooper and my nephew Zach are two years apart but are inseparable.  The kids had so much fun together, I know they were both sad to leave each other.  Good thing we don't live to far away.

Sister Christmas

We decided to plan a day to get together before Christmas to open presents and eat food!  Now that my sister Courtney has moved back to Texas we've been trying to make holiday plans work between the three of us who live close.  We had a huge meal planned with yummy desserts.  The kids kept themselves busy.  Time went by to fast.  We opened presents and us sisters worked on a craft.  It was the perfect get together.  Easy and fun!  I felt so blessed to be able to get together again.  Now we're just missing my mom and my older sister Jamie.  Although were planning a girls trip this summer, so that will be something to look forward too!

She's back..

I feel like I should add a blog about my sister Courtney and her family.  They moved to Florida nearly 4 years ago.  The economy over there wasn't as good as they expected.  They decided to move back to Texas because of a job opportunity.  They now live in Tacoma, about twenty minutes outside of Lubbock.  They made it to Texas about a week before Thanksgiving.  She's come to Midland and I've been to Tacoma.  It's a dream come true having her closer.

5 months old

Mr Camden Cole turned 5 months old on the 10th of December.  It's been an exciting month of changes.  He has been using his hands to move things towards him and has complete control of his grasp.  He is the calmest little guy and so content.  I swear he gets the least of my attention because he is so quiet.  Cam was hit with a pretty bad cold and was very congested we were in and out of the doctors office.  He wasn't really fussy I just was so concerned about his breathing!  I held on to him and gave extra hugs and we snuggled a lot!  Camden is moving all over, no crawling but he manages to roll and backwards scooch around.  I find him under the couch or a completely different place them where I left him. Also he had been drooling a ton and one day he grabbed my finger to suck on and I found two bottom teeth!!  Every where I go he attracts so much attention.  I don't know if it's because I wear him everywhere or what.  But people always grabbing his checks and toes!  His blues eyes melt my heart and even though my days are busy my heart is so full!  I can't wait to see what life has in store for my Cam Cam!

Our new cat..

Our elfs delivered an early Christmas present to Allison.  Our new kitten needed a home before Christmas. The kids woke up to a note from our elfs that said a special delivery coming soon.  When the kids got home from school there was a box wrapped with a bow.  Allison was so surprised and was immediately in love with her cat.  He came with a name tag that read Binx with a bell.  The elfs also brought a few little gifts for Cooper and Beckett, a movie and video game.  Our new kitten fits right into our family!  I was worried it would be so much added work to my life.  But Allison has really taken on the responsibility.  The kitten is litter box trained until he's bigger and eventually becomes an outdoor cat.  He can handle the tough love and squeezes from Beckett.  Binx sleeps at the foot of Allison's bed.  He is mainly calm although he can be playful at times.  And Binx has already found a few hiding spots his favorite is under the tree.  I also have to mention he loves nocking off the ornaments from the tree!!  We sure do love our new cat!

Boys weekend/soccer tournament

Allison had her last tournament for this fall season the weekend of December 4th in Austin.  Camden was pretty sick and I had decided to stay.  Cooper was going to go but his best friend was having his birthday party so he stayed.  Richards parents left with Alli after lunch to Austin.  Richard couldn't leave until after his work Christmas party.  The party was in Odessa at a rented out facility with a catered dinner.  We came home before 11pm and he slept for a few hours and then drove to Austin just in time for Allison's first game at 9am.  We didn't do much since Camden was so sick.  I did drop Cooper off at his friends birthday party at cinergy for laser tag.  I got constant calls and texts from Richard.  The first game was epic, Allison scored 4 goals and we beat them with a total shut out.  The next game we tied.  And the last game we lost.  Richard and Allison had fun going out to eat, and to the movies to see the Crumpus movie.  The girls place third in the tournament.  It's been an interesting season especially playing with all new girls and being on a competitive team.  I am so glad Allison has a true passion for soccer.  I sure do enjoy watching her play!

Turkey day 2015

Richard took the week off for Thanksgiving.  My sisters were both busy and my mom wasn't up for traveling.  So my sister Courtney and her family drove to Midland on Wednesday and we had a Thanksgiving meal consisting of BBQ.  We started out early cooking and chatting.  I made a brisket and Courtney and her hubby grilled two whole chickens.  The weather was so beautiful and sunny.  With ten kids between us we stayed pretty busy.  Our late lunch was so delicious!  When no one is talking and just eating, you know the food is just that good.  The day went by to fast and lots of memories were made.

On Thanksgiving day we went to my sister in laws.  It was really relaxing not having to cook or clean my house for guest.  The food was great and I enjoyed hanging around family for a few hours.  Its unreal how big our family is and how grown my nieces and nephews are.  Once we got home I got busy taking down fall décor and Richard and Allison got all the Christmas stuff out of the storage.  It is kind of surreal remember last years holiday season and being newly pregnant and feeling awful to this year feeling great and full of energy.  Its crazy how you take advantage of feeling normal until your not.  Anyway so much to be thankful for this year.  I know its cliché but my family is the most important thing to me.  I love my lil family and being a mother.  I feel so blessed to have so much!

coming and going

Its been awhile since I've updated here are a few things going on in the Sanchez household.

*egg drop-  A few weeks ago the kids school had there annual math and science night. This year they added the egg drop.  The kids brought home the rules and we went to work on our contraptions for the eggs.  The fire department volunteered their fire truck and rose the later to the highest pont to drop the eggs.  Both there eggs did not break!

*park play dates-  Our friends the A's meet us up at the park when its nice weather.  There family lives close and our kids go to school together.

*CiCi's pizza- Allison won a guessing game at my mother in laws Halloween festival.  The prize was a dinner for 4 a CiCi's.  We went and invited our friends the A's.   After dinner they came over and played for a few hours.

*Charlie brown-  I took the kids to see the new Peanuts movie.  Camden had a cold and Richard stayed home.  Normally Richard goes to the movies with the kids but it was nice to actually go. We got popcorn and coke and we totally enjoyed the movie together.

*date night-  Richard and I went out to celebrate his birthday.  We've been wanting to go to cork and pig and finally got to chance to go.  Dinner was fabulous and then we went to the movies to see the Witch Hunter.

*grandma visit- My mom and step dad have a bi-yearly doctors appointment in Midland for their ankle/knee.  It was a quick trip but we had time to go to lunch.  It was nice to see my mom and Beckett had a fun time playing with grandma.

*daughter date-  Allison and I went on a date night to pick an outfit for family pictures.  She wasn't so pleased picking outfits but we had fun too!

*friends over- With us staying put this thanksgiving we had free time to invite friends over.  One day we watched a friend so they could look for a new car, the car was totaled in  accident.  Another day we had a friend over for Allison and Cooper.  Cooper and his friend rode bikes and played video games.  Allison and her friend asked to go to the mall and shop.  A few days later Allison went over to her friends and then Cooper had a friend over I took them out for ice cream.

*skate park-  Cooper has been really into riding his bike.  There were a few days of really great weather.  Richard took all the kids to the skate park and they had a blast.

*date night number 2- I told Richard he owed me a date since he went out of town.  We went to dinner, to baskin robins, and the to see mokingjay at the movie theater.  It was so nice to get out after being coped indoors for several days!
