Soccer times three

I was so relieved when I looked at the soccer schedule and knew Richard would be off this weekend. We started are morning with a 10:30 soccer game!  It was a awesome game, to see the girls work together and do the drills correctly was pure beauty. We won 12-1, my Alli-cat scored 9 goals! Three left footed! After her game was over we went to Cooper's. I think we were put in a hard bracket, because every team we play is a better skill level. We aren't half bad but there are no stars on our team. Cooper fought for the ball. I swear he just wants to tackle players though! After two hot windy games we had a break and ate lunch at chickfila, milkshakes all around! We stopped by the house before Allison's next game and Beckett fell asleep. So the boys and I stayed home. I heard Allison played hard against the number one ranked U9 girls team. We lost 2-1. Allison scored the only goal.

A few hours later we had invited some new friends over for dinner. They have three kids under 5. Allison begged me to take her to a boy from schools birthday party. He lived two blocks from us and I know his mom so we let her go. We had a blast getting to know the L family. Dinner was delicious. The kids all played well together, before I knew it it was time to pick up Alli. It was a full day of soccer but I wouldn't have wanted to spend the day any different!

Visitor

Friday my mom stopped for a quick visit from Fort Worth while my step dad came in to Midland for a dr visit and other business.  Richard and I had been working on the yard most of the day.  I enjoyed the brief time spent with my mom.  We hung two pictures and chatted.  Beckett followed us around.  I got to show my step dad around the house since he hadn't been over before.  Beckett loved showing all his toys to Papa.  My mom and step dad were on the road by three before the kids got home from school.  The only picture I took was of them driving off!  I sure do miss my mom living in the same town.  Yard work took up most of our day.  We have a large backyard and the grass grows fast.  One of my favorite things about this house is the yard, the kids spend all there time outside.

Easter 2014

The East bunny did indeed visit our house!!  Shortly after breakfast we were headed to church.  With Richard working I didn't manage to take any pictures of the kids baskets or in there Easter outfits!  When Richard got off work we headed to my Niece and her husbands house for Easter dinner and Egg Hunt with all of Richard's family.  Dinner was wonderful, I really enjoyed getting together with family on such a meaningful holiday.  My boys were off the walls that afternoon!  The kids had fun finding eggs, I even hid 4 eggs with dollar bills.  It was a perfect ending to a beautiful day!

Good Friday and Saturday Activities

The big kids had Good Friday off, but Richard had to work.  Everyone actually slept in!!  The day was very laid back.  The kids played inside most of the morning building forts.  We ran to the store for ingredients to make cupcakes.  After lunch while Beckett was asleep we made Easter cupcakes, once Beckett woke up we took them around town to our friends/family.  After that we went to bahama bucks and the park.  The big kids stayed up late to coloring and ate popcorn.

Saturday morning started off in a hurry.  The big kids left there markers out and while I was getting dressed Beckett decided to color allover his mouth and teeth with pink marker.  After a many wipes, a bath, and brushing his teeth I was able to get most of it off.  That morning it was our church Easter egg hunt,  I was in charge of this event.  Our lesson and activity went really well.  We hid 500 eggs and had about 50 kids show up.  Beckett was totally into it and loved finding eggs.  After the Easter activity was over we went straight to Cooper's soccer game.  It was windy and there was so much dirt flying around.  We went home and dyed eggs.  My kids were eating them as fast as I could boil them.  When Richard came home we loaded up and went to the drive in to watch Rio 2.  It rained the whole movie but that didn't stop us from watching.

Blue eyes..

Thursday was full of activities from sun up until sun down.  I've concluded that pretty much every day of my day to day life is busy.  As is the stay at home moms life to my crew of three. I had again over booked myself with activities, and booked myself minutes apart from obligations. Thursdays are particularly busy for me because it's my grocery day and the day I eat lunch with the big kids at their school. Adding anything on to that morning is dumb. After arriving late to my meeting and leaving early to have lunch with kids. My plan was a quick lunch so I could hurry back to my meeting. That didn't happen.  After checking in at the office with Beckett in toe.  I walked into the cafeteria and couldn't find my Cooper . He was sitting secluded at a table by himself with his head down.  His teacher motioned for him to come to me.  We sat down and I asked him what he did to receive his punshment.  He looked up at me with those blue eyes filled with tears.  He said he didn't know and told me he hates lunch time because it's so loud. (Side note we have a meeting with a ENT specialist about his noise anxiety. I believe with his numerous ear infections it might have caused some damage/sensitivity).  During this time his teacher walked over and explained to me Cooper wouldn't stay in his seat after she repeatedly reminded him to.  She walked away and I explained to Cooper how there are consequences to his actions and he must listen to his teacher.  The entire time he is pericing me his his blue eyes with tears rolling down his face nodding his head yes.  He then insisted to me he couldn't hear his teacher and that he apologized to her. I told him that we should put this behind us and try again to make good choices.  He refused to eat and laid his head down and silently cried.  I am not sure if I was over whelmed with my schedule and stress with the combination of my very upset son but I cried there with him. At that moment I desperately wanted to take him home.  I grabbed his hands told him to look up at me.  He told me he was having a bad day his best friend told him that they weren't friends anymore.  And that the basketball hit his face at PE and everyone laughed.  I said that I loved him and told him how special he was to me. How smart and talented he was.  I told Cooper that we should have a mommy and Cooper date and we could build Legos or eat dinner on the trampoline together.  His reply with tears was what about Beckett he didn't want to leave him out.  I guess Cooper's teacher saw me crying and walked over.  She sat next to Cooper and said I don't want y'all to cry bc then I will cry.  I told her we were ok and that we had talked over consequences.  She told Cooper that since the whole class was rowdy that the behavior charts would start over after lunch and he would have another opportunity to make good choices.  She said that there literacy Easter egg hunt riled up the whole kindergarten.  Cooper finished his lunch and it was time to line up.  I don't have another memory in Cooper's short life where he gave me such a long hug I actually thought he wasn't going to let go.  He looked up at me strongly and said he loved me a ran to line up.  I couldn't be more proud to be that little boys mom!  I haven't struggled with any of my other kids as much as I struggled with my Cooper James. In that very moment I felt so dang lucky to be his mother! So what if I was late to my meeting, the rest of my day seemed so minimal and unimportant. If I dont do anything else in my life besides be a mom to my children I will be complete.

Family pictures

For my in laws 50th wedding anniversary my sister in law thought it would be a neat idea to have professional pictures taken of all the family.  That would include my mother/father in law their three children, spouse, children, and grandchildren.  I know I mentioned this in a post a while back and here are a few of the pictures.  It wasn't the easiest photo session for my family.  Richard had to work that day, and Beckett ended up being really fussy not eating and no nap.  It turned out he had strep and a double ear infection.  Allison had a soccer game too.  I some how got all three kids bathed and dressed and out the door on time.  For the entire photo session I was very stressed about Beckett.  The pictures are perfect for what my in laws wanted.  I personally didn't care for the pictures of my family.  But these pictures were captured on/and for this special occasion.  They are apart of a important memory of our family.

Meeting baby Evan

Sunday after church we drove to San Angelo to my sister's house to meet baby Evan.  My mom was also in town helping my sister.  Evan is a beautiful little guy and such a good baby.  I made him a blanket and burp clothes.  I enjoyed holding Evan and Beckett even gave him a kiss on the top of his head.  Since we missed Marcus's first birthday we brought our gift to him.  Beckett helped him unwrap it and both boys played together.  We decided since it was so close to Easter that we would have a Easter egg hunt for the kids.  We drove to a park by my sisters house and Michael and I hide the eggs.  The kids ate a ton of candy and played on the playground.  Then we headed back to my sister for a bbq.  My sister an her hubby went all out with tons of food, fruit, and desserts.  The kids play on the water slide and jumped on the trampoline.  After dinner I brought Easter Bingo and a coloring project for the kids.  No wanted to leave but it was getting late and we had to make the drive back to Midland.  Congrats to my sister and her hubby on the birth of there son Evan, we enjoyed our time with you all!

Soccer, bday party, and baby shower

Life is constantly busy in the Sanchez house. Weekends are field with soccer.  This weekend Allison's age group had a soccer tournament so her team didn't have a game.  Cooper did have a game at noon.  I was at the church decorating the bulletin board for the month.  Richard took the kids to the game.  I didn't think it would take me very long at the church but it did.  I thought I could rush home to shower before Cooper's game but I ran to late.  I felt so terrible because I missed Cooper's first goal!!  After the game we headed straight to our Great nephew's first birthday party.  My niece out did her self with a Mickey Mouse theme there were beautiful decorations, center pieces, tons of food, delicious cake, and a Mickey Mouse pinata.  There were a lot of people that came to celebrate Connor turning one, he is such a happy beautiful little guy!  After the party I dropped Cooper off at his friends and I left to my friends baby shower.  Hands down the most fun and beautifully decorated baby shower I have ever been to.  The lady that threw the shower should be a professional party planner!  I am super bummed I didn't take pictures!  We played the most unique games, made bows for the baby, ate delicious food, and enjoyed each others company. I included a picture of the burp cloths I made her, I love the fabric!  Another busy Saturday to add to our families life.

Random & A Celebration

I like doing random post just because life can get to hectic to post daily and doing a random post helps me document things quickly.  Last week was probably one of the busy weeks I've had in a while. Everyday was full of activities on top of our normal things, I am only mentioning a few things.

*Monday I picked up our neighbors kid from school because his grandmother had a doctors appointment.  I think I've wrote on my blog before how he lives across the street four houses down.  L is also on Cooper's soccer team and in his class at school.  The boys always have a blast together.

*My friend Alyssa was induced this week and I watched her boys while she had her baby.  Initially they weren't suppose to spend the night but her labor went longer then she thought.  It was a crazy day trying to tend to my kids normal extracurricular activities, homework, lunches, uniforms, and meals on top of two more kids in the mix a 3 and 2 year old.  Bed time was overwhelming.  I am glad I was able to help her though.

*After a long day and Richard having classes late I took the kids for a treat at baskin robins.  Allison and Beckett ate all of there ice cream.  My Cooper James who doesn't really like ice cream asked if he could have candy instead!

*Cooper had a tough week at school.  Last week was the Star test for the big kids and his daily school schedule changed.  Monday was camo day (in support of the kids testing) and Friday the wore all blue for prevent child abuse awareness.  Any time there are events or changes to his schedule he always acts up.  I even got a note home from the teacher Monday.  It stress me out when he acts up, but he was good Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Anyway something were always working on, consistently behaving.

*My sister had her baby Wednesday which meant a ton of phone calls and text messages between my sisters and mom all week.  So glad there both healthy and home!  Cant wait to hold my new nephew on Sunday!

*Have I mentioned how inseparable my boys are?  Whatever Cooper does Beckett always follows!  I am always taking pictures of them.

*Friday I hosted a church meeting at my house.  I am the secretary of our children's program at church.  We have lots of upcoming events an Easter activity, teacher appreciation, bulletin board, newsletter, quarterly report, and a blitz meeting tomorrow.  This occupies a lot of my time.

*After Allison's elite soccer training Friday night we went to the drive in to see Captain America.  Lets face with three kids the only way we go see movies are at the drive in!  I guess are kids were tried because they didn't make it through a third of the movie.  Beckett fell asleep in Richard's arm and the big kids were snoring in the back laying on top of each other!

*Soccer soccer and more soccer!  My days and weekends are field with practices, team pictures, and games.  One more month I can do this!  Turns out after both kids games changed times on Friday afternoon Cooper's ended up being canceled.  Allison's games was cold windy.  We lost at the last minute of the game to a penalty shot!

*The most exciting part of our weekend was my in laws 50th wedding celebration.  We did family pictures, which included 22 people. We hired a professional photographer and went out to the Midland Wildlife Preserve.  When we pulled up Cooper said "This place is a dump!"  Once we got out and explored a little he thought the area was interesting.  Typical boy kicking dirt throwing rocks.  After over an hour of pictures from the whole group, families, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and individual shots we were done!  We all meet back up for dinner and enjoyed each others company.  I love my father in law and mother in law.  They are pretty awesome people who unconditionally love there family.  I absolutely couldn't be more blessed to be apart of this family.  Happy 50 years of marriage to best married couple I know.

Transtions..

Beckett has slept in the bottom bunk bed for a week.  The plan when we bought this house was for the boys to share a room together eventually. We choose a three bedrooms over the four bedrooms because of the playroom this house had.  There were a few other factors, but I wanted a playroom.  I figured that we would move Beckett into the bunk bed during the summer, but I didn't expect him to climb out of his crib so early.  Beckett has been climbing out of his crib for awhile, but we wanted to wait until we came back from our FL trip.  Beckett came back with a cold, then I got terribly sick.  Finally everyone was healthy so last weekend we talked to Beckett and explained to him that he was going to share a room with Cooper and sleep on the bottom bunk.  He ran to his crib and grabbed his blanket and climbed into his new bed.  Could it really be that easy, was I worried for nothing?  Apparently the transition was smooth and Beckett completely understood.  He sleeps through the night and doesn't get out of his bed to play.  I think what helps with this transition is that both my boys fall immediately asleep once they lay down.  Once there head its the pillow there out!  Allison has always slept well and long but it takes her awhile to fall asleep but not my boys.  I am thankful that the transition from his crib to a bed went so well I guess my little guy is growing up..

Delivery Surprise

My little sister had her baby yesterday morning.  They had waited to find out the gender until delivery.  Her fourth boy!!  She wasn't due tell April 27, so she was over three weeks early.  My sister had low platelets during most of her pregnancy.  If her platelets went under 70 it could cause many things; clots, hemorrhage, or a possible blood transfusion.  They took the baby early because her levels dropped to 73.  She was induced early Wednesday morning and the baby was born at 10:33 am weighing in at 7 lbs 9oz and 20 inches long.  They still hadn't decided on a name and asked family for suggestions and guess what they choose the name I suggested!

Busy Weekend

We had another full weekend of activities.  Both the kids had soccer games one at 10 and another at 12.  Allison had her game first and it was a tough game.  We lost 5-1.  We played a very skilled team, and Allison scored the only goal for our team.  Allison practices with the competitive FC Dallas squad every Friday, but does play there games because there on Sundays in Lubbock.  The team we played against is her FC Dallas coach and half the squad.  I was proud that our girls didn't give up.  Our goalie even had a sprained ankle and we were missing two girls because they had the stomach bug.  There defense would triple team against Allison, she was roughed up the whole game.
It must have been our day to play hard teams because Cooper's team played against the most skilled 5 year olds I've ever seen!  Those kids rocked it!  The opposing team played like pros they could dribble perfectly, shoot a goal from across the field, they were heading the ball, slide tackling, and lining up drills the coach shouted at them.  Our poor boys couldn't keep up, they were literally running around in circles.  Cooper cried at the end of the game he told me "I  tried so hard but that was a darn hard team mom they were perfect!"

We came home and made home made pizza for lunch.  Beckett went down for a nap while Richard and Cooper played a video game.  Allison and I went on a little mother daughter date to get our nails done and shopping.  I sure cherish that time with my Alli-cat!!

After a tough day of soccer we thought it would be fun to take the kids to the drive-in for the double feature of the Muppets and Mr. Peabody.  We loaded up blankets, pillows, blankets, and popcorn.  We got there at 7 ate dinner and let the kids play tell the movie started.  The kids lasted nearly an hour outside in their chairs until they wanted to come in.  Nobody made it to the second movie, everyone fell asleep waiting the ten minutes for it to start so we went home.
