Richard signed up our team for a soccer tournament a few months ago. The week of the tournament Allison who is never sick woke up with a high fever Thursday. Turns out she had strep throat which took her out of school for two days with continued high fever and a awful soar throat. We had no idea if she would be well enough to play Saturday. Friday night she started to come back to life eating and playing with her brothers. Because of issues with not getting the health releases we had to check in at the tournament in Odessa at 7 am which wasn't so bad because we had a 8am game. My in laws stayed with the boys until our second game of the day. It was nice to be with just Richard and Allison for nearly 5 hours. I got to enjoy the entire game, which Allison played awesome, scoring 3 goals. The team won 7-0!! Then we went around the tournament and explored. Allison picked out a shirt and later we ate. We got such a great parking spot and were right next to fields we played at all day. The weather was perfect!! The day went pretty fast once the boys came, the last two games were brutal. I am not sure if our girls were to exhausted or just didn't have the heart but we lost pretty bad. It wasn't to disappointing we like to think of a loss as a learning tool. By the end of the day we were all exhausted and a little sunburned but mostly ready to climb into bed.
