More soccer, family night, and a tea party!

This weekend as always was a bit crazy, but I wouldn't have changed a thing.  Friday was a full day for many different reasons.  Every Friday night Allison has training with the FC Dallas team (the second soccer team she is on) which pretty much occupies the night.  Saturday both kids had games.  It started out as a cool morning but the day eventually warmed up.  Cooper's soccer game was in the morning he played pretty decent.  Beckett was running all over and we could barely keep up!  A quick lunch break then back to another soccer game.  Allison played awesome scoring 4 goals, Beckett stayed in the wagon and entertained himself.  Cooper as always made a friend and they played.

Later that night we went to the drive in to take the kids to see cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2.  The kids love playing on the playgrounds and making friends.  Before the movie we loaded up on food, drinks, and candy!  It was such a cute movie and the kids didn't make a sound, Beckett even slept through the movie.  I love the earlier movie times with the fall weather, you could actually make it to a second showing if you wanted to.

I almost forgot to mention Allison was invited to an American Doll tea party hosted by my friend Lori.  Lori's daughter Payton and Allison are 9 months apart and have always been friends.  The tea party was a hit like I would expect any less from my amazingly creative friend Lori.  Allison is even thinking of asking Santa for another American girl doll!

15 months

On Sunday my B boy turned 15 months and today he had his check up.  I was worried that Beckett is a little behind in speaking.  He only says about 7 words: Mama, Dada, no, up, bye bye, oh oh, and dog.  But his Dr. was not concerned at all and told me he would expect the average 15 month old to say at least 5 words.  Cooper was very similar in this area and we are working with B to use his words more often.  Beckett has stalled in the weight area and didn't gain one ounces since his year check up!  He didn't change much in head circumference either besides point 2 centimeters, which is probably good since he is still in the 97% percentile!  Beckett did grow in height measuring at 33 inches putting him in the 87% percentile in height.  Motor and developmental skills were all on target!  My poor guy did have to get several shots plus a flu shot.  He was very shy this visit and death gripped me when the nurse tried to weigh him and when the Dr. was looking him over.  Beckett threw a fit when he was forced to lay down for his shot!

B at a month old

My B boy is into everything including his siblings room's, toys, and there food.  He loves the back yard, garage, and front yard.  Beckett is always telling me bye bye because he wants to go to one of those places.  I love that he still wants to snuggle, give hugs, and kisses.  A recent development is his extreme fear of the vacuum cleaner.  Oh the kid cries bloody murder, and wants to be held!  I enjoy my days by myself with him.  Its nice to have a huge backyard where he can play.  Its so quiet and simple and we just spend time together playing on the trampoline rolling a ball back and forth to each other, or going down the slide over and over again, or constantly climbing the play equipment.  Beckett is a wonderful eater he will try and eat anything!  He continues to be an amazing sleeper taking up to four hour naps a day, sometimes 1 three hour nap or two two hour naps.  And of course he still sleeps through the night!  Beckett's new favorite thing is to get into my purse and steal my keys!  He is a smart kid and understand everything I say to him and instruct him, but he does have a stubborn side if he doesn't want to do something he will tell you!  I also have to add that Beckett has joined big brother in watching DWTS.  For some reason the boys are hypnotized by the music and always snuggle to watch with me.  I love Beckett so much he is such an important part of my life.  I just wasn't fulfilled in life until he came in it.  I am so thankful the Lord saw fit to bring him to us, we love him and cherish everyday with our lil guy!

Picnic and Soccer camp

Monday was a teacher in service day so the kids had no school, it was so nice to sleep in! Until I woke up to a crying baby who peed out of his diaper, oh oh daddy forgot to change somebodies diaper before bed.  After undressing Beckett and pulling all his bedding off it was bath time!  Beckett loves to splash and that's ok because I love to hear him laugh.  We had plans to meet a friend at the park but she locked her keys in her car.  We decided to go anyway and have a picnic.  It was perfect weather.  We even had a very friendly prairie dog who ate lunch with us, I am serious the lil thing just sat there and was not afraid!  We even rain into some friends, the kids had a blast.  After the park we stopped by Bahama Bucks on the way home for some snow cones.

Later that afternoon both the kids had a soccer camp to go to.  About a month ago Richard signed up the kids for a skills camp that Chevy sponsored at the Grande Stadium.  Richard was running late from work so I meet him up there with our crew and we switched off kiddos.  Beckett and I ended up getting stuck in traffic while he napped and then went on an afternoon walk together.  The kids enjoyed the skills camp they even received t-shirts, soccer ball, and snacks.

Obession

Apparently I am a little late to the game and have joined the dark side. I am officially obsessed with Starbucks, particularly the double chocolaty chip Frappuccino blended crème with whipped cream!  OMG I am not a sweet eater but I have to at least treat myself once a week to this bad boy!

A few weekends ago Richard and I went on a date night.  So glad to be back in Midland, and a big thank you to my mother/father in law.  The inlaws came over to our house to watch the kids.  We went to Salt Grass which was delicious!  Then Richard said lets go for dessert and skip the movie.  There was really no movies out we wanted to see so he took me to Starbucks and insisted I try this drink.  Lets just say we didn't share the drink and I became hooked!  I literally live right by Starbucks and lets just say its a fight not drive in!  Anyway had to share my new love with my blog pals!

Lazy Saturday

Richard had to work this weekend, I had a baby shower to go to, the kids had soccer games, and a cold front came through.  The cooler weather was a nice break from our mid 90's weather. We had no other plans besides the soccer games on Saturday, it turned out Cooper's game was canceled.  My in laws stayed at the house with B because it was windy and cold and I took the older two kids to Allison's game.  The wind made it really chilly, Cooper and I were wrapped up in a blanket the whole game.  Allison's team played pretty hard we only lost 3-0 compared to the 11 and 13 point deficit the last two games.  First game in a year Allison hasn't scored.  The opposing team had a killer goalie and poor Alli is the only player who decides to play offensively.  She is literally one against four girls and the odds were against her.  After the game we lounged around all day, once Richard came home we watched World War Z and the kids watched Crudes.  The rest of the weekend was lazy and totally enjoyable.  We are always on the run and have such busy schedules, it was so nice to have a relaxing day.  Next weekend is going to be crazy so we totally needed the rest!

Crafts

My sister Courtney has always been my craft and baking buddy.  Earlier this year we were crafting all these baby shower items for our younger sister and my niece.  That was our last big craft its been 7 months and know that my sister has moved I haven't felt the craft bug!  I have been wanting to make Beckett a new pacifier clip but been putting it off.  Then I had a friends baby shower coming up and I decided to pull out the sewing machine.  I finally made B a new pacifier clip and I made my friend a few burp cloths for her first baby boy.  I even made a glitter pumpkin last week!  A few years ago I was in charger of the glitter pumpkin craft at a Craft day at our church.  I cant believe it took me three years to finally make my own.  I have a few more projects I want to do for Christmas, so it looks like my crafting bug is here to stay!

Soccer, throw up, and a birthday party!

This week as flown by for me, Cooper got the stomach bug and was out for nearly three days!  It was the first time he has ever caught the tummy bug, luckily no major messes he never missed the trash can!  Also my poor baby B was cutting his molars which finally pocked through, he was so clingy the last few days.  I am a bit behind on posting on the blog due to mommy duties.

This past weekend was super busy both kiddos had soccer games in the morning.  It also started out as a cool day it even misted at Cooper's game.  Last Saturday was also the Saint Ann's Fair which we haven't missed in 15 years!  In between the kids games we stopped to check it out and eat lunch.  Then it was off to Allison's game, poor thing is playing her heart out with a new team that is lacking in the talent department.  Then we were back at the fair!!  We always get the kids arm bracelets and they ride every ride over and over.  Plus we played several games at the Saint Ann's side and enjoyed funnel cake and fried snickers.  I was super bummed that I couldn't eat the corn with my darn braces!  Around two Beckett was getting pretty fussy and was ready for nap so he and I went home and Richard stayed with the big kids.  About an hour later I got a phone call from Richard saying that he and Allison got thrown up on!  Richard was letting Cooper play at the playground and he was teasing Allison about riding this fast adult ride as they were looking up, someone vomited and more than a dozen people were hit!  Poor Allison who had her hair french braided got it all in her hair.  They drove home using my in laws car and took showers and changed!  That was an experience we would like to forget!  We all went back to the fair to ride a few more rides.  My sister and her family were in town and the cousins had a blast riding rides together.  Beckett even rode his first ride at the fair!  Around 6 we left to go to our friends son's birthday party.  My friend Jessica went all out for a Lego themed party for her son Kaleb's 5th bday.  We all had such a blast.  The adults enjoyed the catered food by Cane d'Oro Pizza and the kids played a ton of games and loved the Lego man piñata!  It was definitely a day to remember.
