Soccer moments

Monday night Allison had a soccer game.  It was beautiful weather for a night game.  The last five games Allison has scored the first goal of the game!!  Richard's friend Juan was the coach of the opposing team we played, the game was the most fair game we played all season.  No drama!  I think I say this every game but Allison played against some TALL girls.  She was so tough taking some hard hits, once she got pegged right in the ribs!  Our little soccer star has acquired many bruises this season from soccer.  We won the game 5-1!!

Tuesday was a fun day.  The boys and I went to lunch with Richard for the first time since we moved to Hobbs!  Cooper actually feel asleep on the drive.  And for an even better treat Richard made it home early to eat dinner.  Before dinner Allison and I made these bright pink cupcakes.  Later that night Cooper had a game.  Richard took Allison and Cooper but I stayed home with a sick Beckett.  From what I heard it was freezing!  Richard called me beaming about how great Cooper played and how he nearly made a goal on 3 separate occasions.  We just need to work on his aim now.

Easter 2013

I was sad that Richard was going to miss Easter morning, especially since it was Beckett's first Easter.  But we made special dinner plans for our family of five once I got back to Hobbs.  I actually had to wake up the kids, we had church at nine am and by seven they were actually still asleep.  Allison and Cooper seemed very happy with the things the Easter Bunny left.  I forgot to mention Allison decorated the table for the Easter bunny.  Allison brought her two bunnies from home as decoration, colored a picture, left a hard boiled egg, and a glass of water for the bunny!  Beckett seemed more interested in the box his toys came in then the toys!  My father in law made a delicious breakfast and we were out the door and right on time for church.  It was a beautiful sacrament meeting.  The meaning of Easter is so pertinent in my life right know especially with Allison's baptism a month away.  I stayed at the church building for a while, chatting with a ton of my friends.  It was so nice to see everyone its amazing how nearly two years can change things in peoples lives!  I got to see how much some of my friends kiddos have grown and babies I've not seen in person but through pictures on face book.  After church we packed our luggage, the car, changed clothes, and headed over for lunch at my sister in laws.  It was so wonderful to get to spend a holiday with Richards family since we missed Christmas.  I honestly don't think I can say enough about how blessed I am to be a Sanchez!  I drove into Hobbs just in time to unload the kids/car and Richard arrived home from work.  It was so nice to spend dinner and a few hours with our whole family on such a special day!

A trip to the Zoo

On Friday my sister in law asked if they could take the kids to the Zoo in Abilene the next morning.  Of course I said yes!  Beckett and I stayed at my sisters the whole day working on our sewing project.  I heard so many exciting things about the Zoo, Allison went on and on about it for the entire night.  Cooper tells everyone he sees that he feed a Giraffe!  I didn't take the pictures thanks to my amazing sister in law I have pictures to document this fun outing for the kids.

Cooper's Easter party

I am going a little out of order here, but since this is technically my journal/blog book for my kiddos I had to post these next two blogs to catch up.

Cooper had his Easter party last week.  The school used a business pavilion facility for the preschool to hold there Easter egg hunt.  There were many many eggs for the children to hunt.  Cooper was so proud of himself with a full basket!  After the hunt the children played duck duck goose and ring around the roses.  Then the children got to sit on the Easter bunnies lap.  Cooper was not impressed, he told me that he could see through the eyes of the Easter bunny and he was sure it was a person.  Plus in Cooper's words "The Easter bunny is black not white, mom!"  I guess because we have a black rabbit he thinks the Easter bunny should be black also..

Cousin Easter Egg Hunt

I cherished the time spent with my sister this weekend.  Knowing this was our last Easter together for awhile.  It was strange with out my other two sister's and our mom.  But we made the best of the situation and the kids didnt seems to mind.  It was a hot day, I think the temp was 91.  We deiced to go to chickfila for dinner and wait for it to cool down, and then go to the park for the egg hunt.  It really did cool down and it was perfect weather.  We went to a new park, the kids were so exicted and couldnt wait to play.  Once we did the egg hunt the kids didnt even eat candy they ran to the playground.  I think Allison's favorite part was breaking the confeiti eggs!  Beckett was asleep when we got there but he woke up after awhile and was grabbing eggs and sticking them in his mouth.  He even managed to open an egg and was eating a hershey's kiss! Beckett cried when I took the candy away, boy he sure did make a mess of himself.  I enjoyed every moment with my sister this weekend.

Good Friday

I knew Richard would have to work Easter weekend so I decided a while ago that I would spend the weekend in Midland.  The kids didn't have school on Good Friday so I figured I would spend an extra day in Midland.

Friday I drove into Midland around 11am.  Dropped a carload of things off at my in laws house. Then the kids and I spent the day at my sister Courtney's house.  Long ago I started on a project for Beckett.  While I was pregnant I had the hardest time picking out baby bedding.  I eventually settled on one which unfortunately was on back order.  The month before B was born I got an email stating the bedding was out of stock!  So I was nearly 9 months pregnant searching for baby bedding again!  Eventually I gave up looking after a while.  We were so busy around that time, plus I had a bassinet for Beckett to sleep in, I figured I would find something after he was born.  During this time my sister who was expecting, had similar issues find baby girl bedding she liked.  Being the crafty lady she is my sister decided to make her own!  I was starting to get discouraged and jumped on the make my own bandwagon!  Little did I know what I was getting my self into.  I have the worst luck some times!  I had envisioned the color and fabric theme I wanted, I was just having the worst time finding certain fabrics in stock!  One order I received was the complete wrong fabric.  Around February I gave up on the light blue chevron fabric that I was needing to complete my scheme and I decided to start my bedding with the fabric I had!  This weekend my sister and I finished the comforter and bed skirt, I already finished the crib fitted sheet, and know all that's left is the bumper.  We also made a pacifier clip out of extra fabric we had left over.  My sister has been so patient teaching me.  She supervises and helps fix whatever mistakes I make.  I would never had finished my lil project with out her.  Some times I cant envision how to place things together and she is so creative.  Thank you Ann!!!  I learned so much this weekend I might venture out on my own project, maybe..

Marcus is here!

Yesterday my sister and her boyfriend Michael had there son Marcus!  She went into Labor Tuesday night, right before she was suppose to go in for an induction.  Three weeks early by the way.  I guess it was meant to be!  He was born around 11:30 Wednesday morning.  Weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.  He seems to be healthy, happy, and with dark hair.  My sister is not recovering from her platelet problems yet, and is staying another day in the hospital.  Prayers are need for her platelet levels to rise and for her blood pressure to regulate also.  Anyway I am a proud Aunt, and cant wait to go see my new nephew!
