Russel Wedding

We have been lucky enough to know the Russel family for almost nine years.  Richard was both the boys Boy Scout leader.  Also our kids adore the Russel boys, which is a huge understatement!  It's crazy to think one of them is old enough to get married and the younger boy just turned 18!

We were thrilled to be invited to the sealing (wedding ceremony) in Lubbock Saturday morning.  Thanks to my awesome in laws who watched the kids for us for about six hours so we could go to Lubbock.  I think there was about two dozen people there for that.  It was a simple but truly meaningful ceremony.  Such peace and so much love felt there.  The bride was glowing and the groom looked so in love.  There's nothing like a few hours away from kids together with your spouse at a wedding no less to remind you how blessed you our with the life you have.  After the wedding ceremony while the wedding party was taking pictures Richard and went to lunch by our selves at steak and shake.  A huge milkshake and a delicious steak sandwich.  Delicious meal and special few hours alone with my hubby.

That evening they held a ring ceremony and reception in Midland. The kids were beyond excited that the were able to go.  The Sanchez family dressed up and went to an epic night!  It was like a reunion of friends.  In the last 6 years many people have moved all over the country and every one came back for this special event.  The food was spectacular, one of our friends sister catered it.  The party really started once the bride and groom took there first dance.  The mom and her friends did an awesome choreographed dance and then the bride and groom jumped in, to bad Richards phone died and didn't capture that awesomeness.  Another one of our friends and their kids came, they have three kids our children's exact age and genders.  Let's just say they were so delighted to see and play with their friends.  Later Cooper caught the garter, he was especially thrilled about that since he has a huge crush on the bride.  Allison and her friend caught the bouquet. We danced the night away and set a trail of fireworks goodbye to the bride and groom. Richard and Alli were troopers and stayed to clean.  The boys passed out at ten and I stayed with them in the car.  It was a legendary night my heart was so full.  I felt so blessed to have been apart of such a special day.

Also I forgot my camera with all the commotion so all I have is lame camera pictures..
