I have to post about a few funny things Cooper has said lately. Last Tuesday when Allison first got sick, Cooper told me that he didn't want to touch Allison because he might get electrified, and then he would have her sickness. I asked him what he meant and Cooper responded with "You know how Allison is contaminou right know and if I touch her I could get electrified." I laughed and said "You mean contagious and infected."
The next day we were driving to Cooper's preschool, and Cooper sneezed. Allison told Cooper she hoped he wasn't getting sick. Cooper told Allison "I am not getting sick I just have the Achoo's." She started laughing and said "The what's." Cooper then said "You know the bless you's"

A very flu Christmas
Friday came and brought me a fever. And the worlds worst headache, I am talking debilitating. I described it to Richard, that I would rather give birth then have the pain in my head that I was dealing with. I was happy it was the weekend and Richard was home. We rolled into Saturday with more sickness. The boys started to cough and Beckett had high fevers.
Soon Beckett's fevers were coming closer together, about every three hours. He also began to lose his appetite and only ate once that day. We were pretty worried about him, so first thing Sunday morning I called the on call pediatrician who told us to come in and he would see us a 1pm. So we all got dressed piled in the car and drove into Midland. Turns out Beckett tested positive for flu. The doctor said he was confident we all had flu. He also said we most likely got a false positive test with Allison because we tested with in the first 12 hours of the on set of her fever. And since Allison and I were three days past the onset of symptoms we were untreatable with medication. But since Cooper was only on day two he could have meds. But poor Beckett since he is under 1 years old he couldn't have any medicine. And to make things worse Beckett will probably have symptoms for up to 14 days.
As a result of 4 out of the 5 people in our family being sick with the flu we missed Christmas with my sisters and Christmas with Richards family. I have not missed a Christmas with my mom or sisters in my entire life. And know my poor baby Beckett was going to miss enjoying his first Christmas.
Did I mention Richard had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas day?! So I was home sick with three sick kiddos by myself. The flu has brought us soar throats, runny noses, no appetite, sever headaches, and high fevers. Although that didn't stop the kids from opening there presents Christmas morning at 6am before Richard went to work. I was glad to see Richard make it home before 1 pm. Cooper is such a boy playing with his castle that Santa left him, I hear things from him such as secure the gate or protect the castle! Allison surprised me this year, she reminded me of Richard. Allison put together and built almost all of her gifts, since daddy was at work and will I am no help lol! Some of my favorite part of the day were watching Brave and Tangled with Allison. Seeing Richard and Cooper play with Cooper's castle for almost an hour. But I most definitely enjoyed my two hour nap with Beckett, since he decided he wasn't going to sleep a wink the night before. And that was our very flu Christmas!!

Tis the season
When Allison was a baby I cherished, recorded, and relished every first outing, first holiday or, milestone. She was my first child. When Cooper came things were a lil different I didn't do nearly as many journal entries, or pictures. I was a little over whelmed becoming a mother of two. But with Beckett I am a much more confident mom, a experienced mom. I know how fast time flies and to enjoy the little things because even through the bad and good its so important to make memories non the less. I am enjoying the Christmas season and all that it entails. Beckett is growing so fast. I literally cant keep the kid out from under the tree! He is so interested in the lights, the sounds his fingers make when he scratches the wrapping paper on the presents. I see true innocents through his eyes this Christmas, and it brings me to the true meaning of Christmas. How blessed we are.
School party and sickness
Yesterday my poor Alli-cat woke up at 5:00am with a high fever, and on the drive to Cooper's school she started throwing up. Thank goodness I had the mommy sense to bring a trash can just in case! As a result my poor lil girl missed her polar express/pj day at school yesterday and today she is still out for the count and is missing her school Christmas party. And since I had a sickly child I couldn't go to Cooper's Christmas party. While Cooper was at school Beckett, Allison, and I went to the Dr's, and it turns out strep and flu test were negative. After nearly 2 hours at the the doctors we stopped by sonic for a power aide slush for Allison. I did mange to show up ten minutes early to pick up Cooper and was able to grabbed some pictures of the festivities. Now I am praying Allison is well before we leave town tomorrow night and that no one else catches whatever she has.

Elf on the shelf
I don't believe I have had a chance to blog about our friend Frosty who is an elf on the shelf. I know a lot of people think the little guy is creepy. But last year when Allison was in first grade her class had an elf on the shelf. Allison loved it so much she even at the last minute asked Santa to bring her one for Christmas. Santa certainly did deliver and this year we geared up to start the tradition. I haven't been the best at keeping up with Frosty and some days he is just moved in the morning when we realized we have forgotten. Richard is the best at remembering to move him around. Although I have had a few fun things planned for Frosty these last few days before Christmas.

Another Christmas Party
Saturday night we had our annual ward Christmas party at Church. The theme was a night in Who-Ville. The decorations were beautiful, and the food was Delicious. I happen to be a huge fan of Ham!! We had fun chatting with all our friends listening to the kiddos sing. Which I had to laugh when Cooper said after the prayer before the kiddos even started to sing, "Is it time to eat know!" everyone laughed! The deserts we wonderful, we sure were full that night! Santa even stopped by to visit the children, after standing in a LONG line the kids were able to see Santa. We even got a picture to capture the moment. It was a wonderful night!
Pj's Tradtion
Friday night we received our yearly Christmas box with Christmas pj's for all the kids from my Aunt in California!! Allison was elated because that girl could never have to many pj's and Cooper loves any kind of footed pj's. The kids wore there pj's all weekend. We even had an impromptu slumber part in the tent. Beckett even tried to join in on the tent fun. I just love weekends were we get to just relax and stay in doors!! We are always so busy busy, its nice to stay in doors for a change.

MOPS Christmas party
Earlier this year I joined a mommies group called MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers. It has been a tremendous blessing to have meet some wonderful mommies, and to have activities to participate in. Yesterday we had our Ugly sweater/ornament exchange Christmas party. I looked every where around this town for a sweater, the day before the party whoops! I found one sweater but it was $40, I was seriously not going to pay that much for a sweater two sizes to big! So I decided to wear my red blouse and bring my ornament of course. It was a fun party. We had an assortment of goodies to eat, a beautiful lesson focused on the birth of Christ. I also enjoyed seeing how some ladies went all out on decorating vest/sweaters. I took a picture with my friend Dana who also could not find a ugly Christmas sweater. I have to mention the picture with my friend, she has taken her shoes off so she wouldn't tower over me. But I am also wearing my TALL boots. I cant get over how short I am!

3 days of Extravaganza
Thursday my in laws drove into town and stayed until Saturday. We had a lot planned into those few days. First on the agenda was Richard's Chevron Christmas party. I was so thankful we were able to attend. I wasn't sure how else we would have gone to the party especially on a school night, the only people I know have kiddos them selves and there was no way I would have asked them to watch my three kiddos on top of their own. The kids were spoiled by there grandparents and were able to go to the hotel to swim and then out to dinner. It was fun to get dressed up for the party, we joked it was our date night! Chevron had rented a room at the casino for our dinner. The dinner and dessert were delicious. Most of all I enjoyed watching all the employees open and fight over the gifts.
Friday Allison talked Grandma and Grandad to bring her lunch, while I was at the junior college were Cooper was practicing his Christmas program. After Allison got out of school I took the kids over to the hotel were my mother in law watched Beckett and my father in law and I took the kids to the pool. They swam for two hours, I literally had to pull them out of the pool! Then we went back to our house and Richard cooked burgers and hot dogs on the grill. After dinner we went to the church where they were having a Christmas concert. The decor was just beautiful, I truly love Christmas time. There were a ton of performers ranging from a lot of talented people in our ward, to many organizations from the community. However I missed the first half of the concert because Beckett had a huge blowout!!! Then half way through the concert he vomited, lol. Also I guess swimming tuckered out Cooper because he feel asleep. I am so glad we were able to attend I really enjoyed the concert many many talented individuals there!! After the concert the kids begged to stay the night with my in laws at the hotel.
Early Saturday morning we had the Ginger bread house decorating party at the church. When I say there was a ton of candy I am not joking! Cooper quickly put his ginger bread house together and then indulged in eating candy! Allison was seriously the last one to finish!!! My sweet in laws were nice enough to walk a fussy Beckett around the building while Richard and I helped the kids and chatted with friends.
After our candy fun we decided to take the kids to see a movie, the Rise of The Guardians. My in laws stayed with a sleepy Beckett. It was such a great movie, one we will totally have to buy! After the movie we went out to lunch at Chilli's, yummy! Then I dropped everyone off at the house so that Cooper and I could headed over to a friends birthday party for a quick visit. After the bday party I threw Cooper in the bath so we could get ready for his Christmas program. I am so glad we got to the college early, because I am not sure we would have gotten a seat, there was a ton of people there!! It was a wonderful program Cooper was super cute and people giggled as he unsurely walked to the microphone. I really enjoyed all the costumes, songs, and special visit from Santa. After all our fun it was time to say good bye to my in laws after our three days of fun! Until Christmas.

Our Family Pictures 2012
We had our family pictures taken a few weeks ago by our friend here in Hobbs, Heather Cummings Photography. She was so patient and had a lot of unique ideas. I love the pictures, and I am so thankful she was able to take them before she has her baby boy.

5 Months old
My sweet baby boy is five months old today! It is crazy how a few weeks or even days can change things in a babies life. Beckett's personality is really showing. He know recognizes me and Richard. And when he sees someone unfamiliar and cant see mommy, daddy, or a sibling he will cry. And poor baby he really builds it up! Beckett also heard mommy yell at big brother and sister the other day and boy he did not like that! Beckett straight up quivered his lip and busted out crying! Beckett is totally on the move!! He rolls all over, he wants to crawl so bad and gets super frustrated. I am always pulling him out from under the couch. Also a knew development, my baby B is trying to sit up! Although it doesn't last long because he immediately wants to get on all fours. Beckett is growing so fast, some days I just sit with him and snuggle and kiss him over and over because I know how quickly time passes. Also Beckett is still waking up once a night and is know up to 6 ounce each feeding. Right know my poor guy has a cold, which has me up at nights because he cant breath because he is so congested. Words are not enough explanation of how much I enjoy my lil guy, he warms my heart. And is by far the happiest baby when he wakes up in the morning. I love my baby B!!!

Changes
It is so very interest to see the growth and changes of your child/children through the years. I recently went through a bunch of pictures of Allison as a baby. Above is a picture of Allison when she was 3 years old, exactly 4 years ago (photo taken by my friend Abby). Its amazing how time flies bye, people always say don't blink or you will miss your kids childhood. Today I just wanted to take a step back remember my baby Alli and then I spent an hour reading books with her while her brothers were sleeping.

Another
Another wonderful soccer season! This season was tough with having a newborn and Cooper playing soccer for the first time but it was so worth it! I was literally all over the place this year, both kiddos had soccer practice at different times and different places. Not to mention soccer games on totally different days! I think we actually did have two games at the same time, which was a no brainier that Richard had to be with Allison since he was the coach and I would get to stay with Cooper. Poor Beckett took must of the brunt of soccer season having to go where ever we were, being feed where ever we were, and having to sit through many cold games. But don't worry this mama tends to over bundle my kids, which always put Beckett right to sleep!
The Viper's!! Cooper's team only lost one game this season. We had two kids on the team who could really get after the ball and make those goals! All the boys had played together last season, but I didn't enroll Cooper because well I was huge and pregnant! Cooper mainly ran along with the crowd, every once in a while he would check into the game and go after the ball. I wished he played as well as he does at practice or when he plays against Allison. But for know its just fun to watch a relaxing game. I really loved Cooper's coach and the boys got to get together at big cheese for a soccer party. And when all the moms got to talking all but one of the boys broke there trophy in the first day or two they got it lol!
The Blizzard's!! Allison, well Richard likes to call her his soccer star. For being the baby of the team at 7yr's old playing with girls 8 and some 9 year old's she sure holds her own. This child averages at least 2 goals a game, if not more. I have never seen such determination in a child to perform at her best, she plays forward but does not hesitate to help her team at any position. This was an interesting year playing with goalies and six players on the field. I honestly don't think we would have done as good as we did with out Richards soccer experience. Our season was a joke we killed the opposing teams, with mostly shut outs 10-0! We won our bracket 8-0! Although we didn't do as well during the tournaments but they were definitely learning experience's. Saturday we had our end of the season party at big cheese requested by the girls.
